Our Story
Meet Janelle and Sondra!
The daughter-mother duo, with a passion for keeping their hands busy creating unique pieces.
It all started when Sondra's mother, Lola, brought home Pysanky art supplies from a Ukrainian craft show in Detroit. Lola was a talented artist, and became very skilled at creating Ukrainian Easter Eggs using real eggs. She passed down the tradition (and supplies) to Sondra at a very young age. Although Lola never got to meet her granddaughter, we know she was smiling when Sondra included Janelle in making her first Pysanky egg at the young age of 5.
Janelle's exceptional eye for detail is evident in some of the most intricate designs. For over 20 years, and a few cracked eggs, these two have been perfecting their craft and are excited to share these and other exquisitely unique artisan pieces with you!
